Today, I decided to “experience the concert” rather than listen to it. For me that meant to close my eye, get physically still in a meditation posture, and listen. Over and over I let go of intellect, which for me is analyzing the music, and without the visual, let myself breathe deeply and really listen… To the music, and to the physical sensations of my body as the sounds filled St. Gile’s Cathedral in Edinburgh:
